Lying evil Google rant

I don't mind that links in Google search results go via a redirect page. Tracking outbound clicks is useful.

What really ticks me off, though, is that when they are doing this, they twiddle the browser status bar so it displays the redirect target instead of the link URL. This is a seriously annoying thing to discover when you paste a link you copied from a search page into another application.

Geh.
