Batman (no spoilers)

We saw The Dark Knight today. It was awesome. I want to go and see it again, and I really hope they make another film after it - the ending pretty much demands it, in my opinion. It wasn't perfect; I felt slightly bewildered in the hospital, where I expected the film to end and it didn't, and I did get lost occasionally in the fight scenes, but that might just be me, it happens a lot and it was a dark film. I liked the bit with the boats, and every time the thorny question of fighting evil with evil in order to win for good came up. It wasn't at all black and white. And the ending was fantastic - a carefully rendered repetition of a common myth/legend, made real on screen in a comic book hero. I loved that. It pushes every button I have ;) - but I do think it was well done.

I don't normally make posts like this because they really do seem a bit pointless. "I did this today, whee!" But it was such a good film.

Ah, I meant that if a person has only seen Dark Knight then watches that AMV without seeing an episode of Code Geass (or whatever anime it was), it is meaningless to anyone other than people who have seen and loved both (some can find AMVs irksome this way!). The double-edged sword of AMVs! Which is why I really respect ones like your "It's Raining Bishonen" because it appeals more generally, without having to know characters or backstories. :)

Yes, I know - that's why I put the name on so people who know nothing of Code Geass are duly warned...

I'm glad you like IRB, but it's an easy type of video to make - a comedy to a comedy song. It's kind of like the catgirl of AMVs - everyone loves a funny one, and if the song itself is funny, the job's more than half done ;)
